HELPFUL TILING TIPS

BEFORE YOU START

Please ensure that there are sufficient tiles to complete the your job, as we can not guarantee that there will be extra tiles of the same colour, shade and /or texture can be supplied at a later date.

Please re check that your measurements are accurate. Under estimating measurements will result in a shortage of tiles; over estimating measurements will result in an oversupply of tiles. Both situations could cause unnecessary hardship.

Prior commencing work, confer with the builder or tiler regarding the positioning of borders, feature tiles and requested pattern layouts.
Please check that all tile boxes supplied have the same shade markings to ensure that you have been supplied from one batch. We can not entertain any claims once tiles have been fixed.

Please read the adhesive manufacturer's instructions carefully and ensure that you use the appropriate adhesive for both substrate and tile to be fixed.

AS YOU TILE

When tiling it is advised that you use tiles from 3 or more boxes to ensure correct blending of any colour variation that may exist. Keep an eye on your work as you progress and watch that the blend and effect is maintained.

Please retain an original box label in case you require more tiles.

If you are laying tiles in a large area, we strongly recommend that hidden areas (under stoves, fridges, in pantry cupboards) or detached areas (toilet and laundry floors) are tiled last. This is so that if extra tiles are needed the batch of tiles will not be crucial.

Please remember that if you have any doubts or notice something that is not right whilst tiling, we advise that you contact your tile outlet immediately - before proceeding any further.

Please keep a quantity of tiles on site for any required future maintenance.
It can be impossible to match tiles if repairs are necessary at a later date.
